Launched three months ago in March, the Swinging Kitchen is still  fairly new to the Orange County gourmet food truck community. Like many new trucks, they’ve gone through their share of growing pains.

One thing unique about Swinging Kitchen is they don’t specialize in one type of food.  Plus, their menu is not set in stone.  They change their menu according to what is in season, and what the chef is in the mood to create.  I compare their menu to like the popular “Lime Truck”, where you may try something from Swinging Kitchen one day, and you’ll never see that item again on the menu.

The crew loves getting feedback about their food, and they’ll customize your meal.  I’ve learned to just order the item just as they’ve designed it. I’ve never been steered wrong. And, another thing I have learned from the Swinging Kitchen is to ask for extra napkins.  Their food should be eaten with gusto, and with your hands!
