Bistango “Throws” Stone Brewing Co. Beer Dinner For Connoisseurs on Feb 27 in Irvine with 4 Courses & Pairings for $55.

Serious beer drinkers are invited to explore some of the region’s finest brews as Bistango in Irvine “throws” a 4-course beer dinner featuring Stone Brewing Company on Wednesday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Executive Chef Javier Montoya says that the dinner is ideal for the growing number of beer connoisseurs who are also serious about food. Cost is $55 per person. To book a reservation, call (949) 752-5222.

“Stone Brewing Company is one of the finest beer makers around and we’ve worked together to come up with a menu and pairings that will be unforgettable,” said Montoya.

The dinner will begin with watermelon and sashimi grade tuna crudo served with a Cali-Belgique IPA followed by pan-seared pancetta-wrapped Mexican prawn accompanied by the Ruination IPA. The entrée, a braised bison short rib, will be paired with OAKED Arrogant Bastard. Topping off the meal is a white chocolate bread pudding served with the Stone Smoked Porter.

Bistango is renowned for its diverse menu of fine American contemporary cuisine set in an airy atmosphere distinguished by fine art exhibits and large umbrellas that suspend from the ceiling lending great intimacy. An extensive cocktail list of classics and house specialties and a 400-bottle wine list that was heralded by Wine Spectator round out the offerings. Bistango serves lunch and dinner weekdays and dinner-only Saturdays. Live entertainment can be enjoyed each evening in its sophisticated lounge where couples may enjoy dancing the night away.
