Blackmarket Bakery opens its second location today at The CAMP in Costa Mesa. Their first bakery opened in 2004 bringing incredible cakes, pastries and fresh bread to the community.

The new 1800-square-foot location features indoor and outdoor seating where families can enjoy some of the best pastries in Orange County. The new bakery also features Kean Coffee, brioche buns, oatmeal stout rolls and hot-pressed sandwiches.

“Blackmarket Bakery has always intended to offer a worthy alternative for those looking for a responsible, quality product – my goal has always been to create a conscious moment of indulgence for guests,” explained Chef Klemek, who admits to being a once-picky eater who learned to re-embrace her food-loving Southern roots. “By using baking fundamentals such as butter, flour, sugar and eggs – all of which were blackmarket goods during WWII – I intend to deliver a culinary experience that revolves around natural ingredients, complex textures, and global flavors, with a bit of punk rock tucked inside, of course.”
