Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries brings the sights, smells and tastes of the boardwalk to its newest location in Huntington Beach.
To celebrate the opening, Boardwalk will host a week of family-friendly activities and promotions, including a free single burger with the purchase of fries and a drink on Thursday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov 9.
More than 30 years ago, brothers Dave and Fran DiFerdinando founded Boardwalk Fries and the east coast beach tradition quickly became the largest fries franchise in the nation. Now bursting into the better burger market, Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries is bringing an expanded menu to locations across the country.
The second location in southern California, the Huntington Beach franchise features favorite Boardwalk menus items including customized burgers, delicious shakes and Boardwalk’s world-renowned fries.
Also on the menu are chicken sandwiches, salads, veggie burgers and funnel cake fries.
“We’re proud of the 30-year tradition of Boardwalk’s famous fries and tasty burgers and look to continue that legacy as we expand along the west coast,” said Andrew Ritchie, owner of the Huntington Beach Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries. “Our grand opening events will introduce our fresh burgers and fries to Huntington Beach as customers enjoy the fun and activities our location has to offer.”
From Tuesday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 11, customers can stop by Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries to sample menu items and participate in games and fun for all ages.
Grand Opening Events:
Tuesday, Nov. 6 – Vote for Free Fries
To celebrate Election Day, customers will receive a free regular fry when they show their “I Voted” sticker.
Thursday, Nov. 8 – Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting with Free Burgers All Day
A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Huntington Beach Mayor Don Hansen, city officials and the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce. The celebration continues until 7:00 p.m. with live music and giveaways from a radio DJ and a mechanical surfboard competition. Guests will receive a free single burger with the purchase of fries and a drink.
Friday, Nov. 9 – Free Burgers All Day with the Surfrider Foundation
A portion of the day’s proceeds will go to the Surfrider Foundation and customers can sign up for the Boardwalk and Surfrider Foundation beach clean-up on Saturday, Dec. 8. Guests can enjoy a free single burger with the purchase of fries and a drink.
Saturday, Nov. 10 – Family Fun Day
Boardwalk hosts face painting, free samples, games and more in a day-long celebration. Enjoy live music and giveaways from a radio DJ from 12:00-2:00 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 11 – Veteran’s Day
To honor those who serve, Boardwalk will offer all service members and veterans a 20 percent discount off their purchase. Customers can also make holiday and thank you cards for the troops.
All grand opening promotions are available to customers who sign up for the Boardwalk Rewards program in-store or their mobile device. Boardwalk Rewards helps customers stay up-to-date on special events and local deals, and allows guests to collect points toward free food and prizes.
The Huntington Beach Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries is located at 21020 Beach Blvd. and is open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries also has a location in Hermosa Beach, and plans to open seven additional locations in California over the next nine months in: Pacific Beach, San Diego, Fullerton, Woodland Hills, Encino, Upland and San Dimas.
