Gourmet. Waffle. Sandwiches. So freakin good. I think Bruxie is on to something and I’m not the only one who thinks so. Just ask any of the hundreds of people that wait in line just to have a bite of their sweet and/or savory waffles. Before I went in for the initial bite I thought, just another waffle right? WRONG! Bruxie waffles are light, crispy and not too sweet. Very different from the heavy and filling waffles we’re used to. That crispy crunch right when you sink your teeth into it paired with the sweet or savory flavors inside… perfect blend. They have many sweet and savory flavors to fit just about anyone’s taste. They also have daily specials for new flavors like Short Ribs and “Green Eggs and Ham” for St. Patty’s Day so there is always something new for you to try.
Here’s a few of the goodies Bruxie has to offer.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken Waffle: Great quality chicken that was lightly battered. The sweet sauce they drizzle on it is awesome. It was a great blend of sweet and savory.
Prosciutto and Gruyere Waffle: Everything about this was delicious! Seriously! It’s an upgraded ham and cheese sandwich. The melted gruyere cheese to the salty prosciutto then that crunchy waffle. MMM!
Vanilla Cane Sugar Drink: I’m usually not a fan of these drinks but they convinced me to try it. So glad I did. You can definitely taste the quality of this drink. They get it from a special vendor that uses the freshest ingredients. You know it’s not your out of the can bs. This is the real thing.
Vanilla Custard: Not ice cream. Not froyo. This was custard. Thick, creamy and rich but not too sweet. You can tell it’s custard because the consistency is so thick when you turn it upside down, it doesn’t fall or drip.
Now that I’ve probably made you pretty hungry, head over to Bruxie for your sweet and savory waffle fix. You will be greeted by a very friendly staff, Chef Dean and Chef Kelly.
