I LOVE chorizo. I don’t, however, love the calorie count. When I fry chorizo I use umpteen paper towels sopping up all the fat…and even then, chorizo is always a guilty pleasure. But chorizo con juevos with no fat? I’m a &#%^! genius. Take that back — Savory Spice Shop is the genius!
It took me about five minutes to make this delicious breakfast! And it's healthy, full of protein and low-cal!
For one portion: 3 egg whites. Spray non-stick oil in pan; add egg whites and sprinkle HEAVILY Chimayo Chorizo Sausage Spice (I used about one teaspoon for my egg whites). Cook. Serve. Eat. That’s it. Soooooo easy. Sooooooooo fast. And so incredibly delicious.
Tip: I saute the egg yolks and feed them to my dog (she has a beautiful coat!).
Other ideas: this is a new spice for moi… I am going to have fun experimenting. Some immediate ideas include spinkling Savory Spice Chimayo Chorizo Sausage Spice on nachos, tacos, quesadillas… Do you have any ideas? Share them please!

Hey Mel – How ’bout using this to rim the glass for a bloody mary? I’ve never tried this spice mix (WANT IT NOW!) but I’m thinking that might be tasty – a dash in the beverage could be mighty fine, too. Wonder if we can get this here in North Carolina…. otherwise I may be sending Will on a spice run before he comes home for Christmas!
I love the Bloody Mary idea!
