Don’t let the “Haus” fool you – Doria’s Haus of Pizza is all about the creating the classic pizza pie…with a few German beers thrown in here and there.
Located off Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa next to the Paul Mitchell Academy, Dori’s Haus of Pizza has been a local staple since 1981. Locals flock to Doria’s for the family style pizza, submarine sandwiches, pasta specials, and of course the beer. While the submarine sandwiches have great flavor (try the Italian Sub) and will definitely leaving you feeling satisfied, the pizza is what Doria’s is best known for.
The menu is simple – choose your pizza size, choose your toppings and invite some family and friends to share. Can’t decide on what to order? Try the Haus Special with onion, pepperoni, mushroom, sausage, and olives. For vegetarians – the Vegetarian Pizza with bell pepper, mushroom, olive, tomato and onion is a good option. The best part about Doria’s Haus of Pizza is that it is no frills – just your typical pizza joint with a straightforward menu. What sets Doria’s apart from other similar pizza joints is that the pizza here is really, really good.
If you are looking for healthy whole wheat thin crust pizza with soy cheese, Doria’s is not your best bet. BUT if you are looking for a great, classic pizza made fresh in house, then get over to Doria’s and get in line. Or you can just order it to go which many patrons do as the wait for a table can get quite long.
Just be sure to enjoy your pizza with a nice cold beer.
