Five Crowns in Corona del Mar is pleased to host a very special dining event, featuring a five-course meal created by acclaimed Chef Greg Harrison with select whiskey pairings for each dish from the award-winning Gordon & MacPhail and their personal distillery, Benromach. Derek Hancock, associate director of Gordon & MacPhail, will be on hand to talk about the distillery’s history and craft. Derek has been involved in the industry for over 40 years, has given many lectures and tastings on all aspects of Scotch Whiskey and is also a Keeper of the Quaich in recognition of services to the promotion of Scotch Whiskey.
Based in Elgin, Scotland, Gordon & MacPhail is a family business owned by the Urquhart Family, bottling single malt whiskies for more than 115 years. In 1983, the company purchased Benromach Distillery. Gordon & MacPhail also bottles over 350 different expressions from around 70 distilleries.
