If you don’t already know, The Capital Grille is a great place for lunch with affordable menu items to suit everyone’s taste.
Right now, the “Plates” section on the lunch menu is offering four entrees instead of the regular three. For $18, you get a starter of soup or salad, your entree, and a side dish. I’ve always been a fan of their clam chowder, but if you want something light there is always the Field Greens to choose from.
A new item on the menu is the Carrot and Ginger soup served with a dollop of sour cream. It was delightfully refreshing and very tasty.
As far as the entrees are concerned, the lobster roll is always popular and remains on the menu. They have brought back the Wagyu Cheeseburger by popular demand and rightfully so. This delicious burger is cooked to your desired temperature and topped with a fried egg with runny yolk — always my favorite — and crispy fried onions.
The mini tenderloin sandwiches are agreeable if you are a meat eater, but I really loved the new Seared Sea Scallops served with Israeli couscous and a helping of sweet and sour tomatoes. The scallops are cooked to perfection!
Sides include their signature truffle fries, French green beans, or the newly added Tomato & Watermelon salad with feta. It makes use of the summer fruits at its seasonal peak and the vibrancy and freshness is a burst of color in your mouth.
If you haven’t been, now is the time to go and take advantage of the great “Plates” menu, only offered at lunch time.
