Move over, macarons.  The designer doughnuts are here!

Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, the brainchild of Brooke Des Prez and Sumter Pendergrast, will debut their artisan doughnuts and Stumptown coffee by hitting the streets of Orange County in an old-fashioned delivery truck.

Sidecar is also proud to be the first business in Orange County to offer award winning Stumptown Coffee.  Recognized for revolutionizing the coffee business, this much sought after coffee out of Portland, OR is known for forming lasting relationships with coffee producers and upholding the highest of standards.

Des Prez and Pendergrast make a great team, bringing an exciting energy to Sidecar with their kindness, generosity and “old soul” vibe.

Des Prez takes a creative “from the earth” approach to cooking and is dedicated to using high-quality ingredients.  This commitment is reflected in Des Prez’s masterful doughnuts.   Pendergrast is an artist and clothing designer originally from Atlanta with a self proclaimed “coffee fixation.”

He wanted to open a special place with cutting edge coffee.  Once Pendergrast was introduced to Des Prez, he realized her artisan doughnuts would be the ideal complement to the Stumptown Coffee being offered at Sidecar.

Sidecar is scheduled to open a permanent location at 270 E. 17th Street, Costa Mesa this December.

Word on the street is that you can catch some “secret tastings” at their test kitchen located at 629 Terminal Way in Costa Mesa each Saturday morning starting at 8:30 am until their brick and mortar location opens.
