Food trucks are catching on all over the United States. Thanks to shows like “The Great Food Truck Race” and “Eat St”, you can find a truck in almost any major city. Las Vegas embraced the trucks, and have food trucks events just like LA and Orange County. Most recently, the Bellagio Hotel and Casino invited food trucks to the “Taste of Las Vegas”, and South Pointe has food trucks attend their Fight Fests and other events.
One of my favorite trucks in Las Vegas is the SnOwONOshaveIce truck. Similar to Orange County’s Tropical Shave Ice, they serve the “real deal”… shave ice just like from the Island. It’s not a snow cone! Shave Ice is fine ice which comes out fluffy, almost creamy when consumed.
I found the truck on a Tuesday parked at the Las Vegas Farmer’s Market. I arrived at 7:30, and found a line of people waiting for the perfect Las Vegas dessert.
