Anaheim White House unveils West Wing in November

The landmark restaurant with presidential themes will open its new 1,700-square-foot banquet hall next month.

You won’t need a Cabinet appointment to make it into this West Wing (West Wing West?), when the Anaheim White House opens it new 1,700-square-foot banquet hall in November.

Owner Bruno Serato announced that the luxury facility will be available to parties of 20 to 180 at no charge and he says that the facility will be ideal for wedding receptions, business meetings, corporate affairs, large family gatherings and charity events. Interestingly, loyal guest of the restaurant donated most of the capital needed to buy the facility.

“I am so excited to announce the groundbreaking of my long-awaited West Wing,” says Serato, who purchased the restaurant from James and Bobbie Stovall 20 years ago. “What better way to cap off our 100-year anniversary than by unveiling this beautiful new facility? It could not be possible without the generosity of so many of my friends who insisted that my vision be realized before the end of this milestone year. I love and thank those who reached out to help!”

The interior will feature a cream and gold palette and will several Swarovski crystal chandeliers, gold cane back chairs draped in gold fabric and Venetian drapes will adorn the room. The centerpiece is a custom ceiling design composed of a unique material from the Ukraine with a gold design pattern accented with touches of turquoise.

Situated in what was once an orange grove, the 300-plus-seat restaurant was originally designed to be a private home when first built in 1909.  It fell into the hands of the Stovalls, who decided to demolish the mansion to make room for condominiums.

On the eve of its destruction, however, Barbara had second thoughts – the structure was just too beautiful and important to be torn down, so the couple decided to transform it into an opulent restaurant.

Another big event at the Anaheim White House is the return of 10-year-old C.J. Luis on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. as he prepares a four-course dinner to benefit a nonprofit program dedicated to feeding motel kids, underprivileged children who live in motel rooms, often going hungry.

Reservations must be made by Friday, Oct. 9 by calling 714.772.1381 or visiting anaheimwhitehouse.com.
