 The Casey’s Cupcakes store at Newport Beach’s Fashion Island is throwing a Red Carpet Grand Opening Celebration on this Saturday Dec. 10. Fashion Island marks the third location for Casey’s Cupcakes.
Casey Reinhardt is the winner of Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” and has also been awarded OC Weekly’s Best of 2011 Reader’s Choice award for Best Cupcake. The Fashion Island store opened on Nov. 19, but the grand opening festivities will take place on Dec. 10.
At the celebration Casey will be featuring a collection of stiletto-themed cupcakes inspired by some of her favorite designers in honor of Fashion Island’s standing as a world-renowned shopping destination. The special-edition cupcakes will be available only on Dec. 10 and 11, or by special order, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Olive Crest Charity, a national organization based in Southern California that is dedicated to preventing child abuse.
The festivities will kick off at 2:00 p.m. and the first 150 guests will receive a Casey’s Cupcakes pink and black logo bag. The celebration will include a red carpet, a live DJ and an autograph signing by Casey Reinhardt. Newport Beach Mayor Michael Henn, Fashion Island VP and General Manager Tanya Thomas are expected to attend.
“I am so honored to have my cupcakes in such an iconic Orange County location,” said Casey Reinhardt. “Opening my third [location] at Fashion Island, following the success of my boutiques at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside and Laguna Beach, is such a dream come true!”
