Although hidden from plain sight, this mom-and-pop Italian spot is the go-to Placentia pizzeria. At first glance, the small crowd and quiet dining room may leave you skeptical. But once the plates start piling in, you’ll wonder why you hadn’t found this gem sooner! Even on a busy Saturday night, Brooklyn is the perfect pick. Not only is the wait nonexistent, but also the attentive staff, equipped with beautiful Italian accents, gives a nice touch of authenticity. As a first-timer, it was necessary to dabble in a little bit of everything. I started with the Cannelloni, a standard Italian dish, which consisted of pasta shells filled with a delicious blend of ricotta cheese, spinach and topped with homemade spaghetti sauce. Although this came with a kick, the White Veggie pizza was the winner – hands down! This dish surpasses the delivery hut due to the unique yet delicious style of pizza. Needless to say, I enjoyed every bite!
