 When Tommy says, “It’s all about the meat”, he’s not kidding! Tommy Pastrami New York Delicatessen in Placentia is just one of the many Orange County locations, and judging by my experience, this delicious franchise will continue to grow.
Although the restaurant is tucked away in a rather quiet strip mall, this hidden eatery is the pearl of local delicatessens. Unlike the subpar sandwich shops we’re all used to, this place brings it all to the table. From the warm smiles to the melt-in-your-mouth meat, I was sold soon after the first bite.
With such an appealing menu, I was happy to have the cashier point me in the right direction. I chose the Oven-Roasted Brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad, while my dining partner dove into the infamous NY-Blackened Pastrami sandwich and a bowl of Tommy's Homemade Chili.
