 With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, restaurants and shops across Orange County are getting hit by Cupid’s arrow. Here’s our list of Valentine’s specials to get you and your lover in the mood for this Hallmark holiday:
Get ready to wine and dine at Lucca Café in Irvine with the restaurant's Valentine’s Tasting menu. Featuring four dishes paired with five wines, the special will be offered both Friday, Feb. 13 as well as Sat., Feb. 14. The festivities will run $75 per person, or $55 without wine.
Code Restaurant and Lounge is offering up its own take on Valentine's Day, with a five-course meal (plus dessert) for $66 or with wine pairings for $105. The night will also feature live must from DJ Love, as well as a P.I.N.K Kiss martini and P.I.N.K. bottle service. Seatings take place at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Indulge your sweet tooth at Sprinkles in Newport Beach. The cupcakery is featuring an “XOX” box, which is a dozen cupcakes with Valentine’s decorations, from Feb. 6 to Feb. 15. Cupcakes include Chocolate Marshmallow, Red Hot Velvet, and classic favorites like dark chocolate and vanilla.
Over at the Winery Restaurant and Wine Bar in Tustin, find your way to your significant other’s heart through the stomach, with a His and Her Valentine’s menu. His menu will include meals such as Georges Bank Main Scallops and Wild White Shrimp or Vintage USDA Prime New York. Hers comes with choices ranging from Seared King Salmon to Roasted Main Lobster. Each four-course meal comes with dessert and a bottle of champagne to split.
Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is serving up a weekend of romance. The restaurant's Valentine Sharing Menu was created for two, in addition to the regular a la carte menu. The menu offers Saucy Glazed Porterhouse Steak with a choice of salad for $98. Another choice is Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb and Lobster En Fuego with a choice of salad for $89. Wine pairings are also suggested, and a dessert is offered as well. Reservations are recommended.
Take a romantic walk on the beach and then head over to enjoy a three-course meal at Bayside Restaurant in Newport. At $56 a person, appetizers include your choice of Tartare of Ahi Tuna or Compressed Maine Lobster Salad, along with a main course of Filet Mignon or Roasted Chicken Breast. Dinner is served between 5p.m. and 10 p.m.
Kimera Restaurant in Irvine is also be featuring a three-course romantic dinner from 5-10 p.m. Choices include Bruschetta served with goat cheese; Canadian King Salmon, served with asparagus cous cous and lemon aioli; and Rack of Lamb, as well as a White and Dark Chocolate Crisp dessert. The dinner is served for $42 a person.
Relax with your loved one over dinner and a spa treatment. Enjoy a one-hour facial or massage at Spa Gregorie’s and receive a $25 voucher for French 75 at Fashion Island ($185). Enjoy an elegant four-course meal for $75 a person or $100 with wine pairings.
Or get cozy over a candlelit dinner at Agora Churrascaria, Irvine’s Brazilian Steakhouse, offering a hot and cold salad bar and 16 of their skewer-roasted meats. Share flan with a Valentine’s twist: dark chocolate ganache topping. The steakhouse is open for dinner from 4-10 p.m.
At the Yardhouse, located in Costa Mesa, Fashion Island and Irvine Spectrum, a menu of aphrodisiacs is being offered to spice up your Valentine’s Day from Feb. 12-14. Couples can enjoy three-course, a la carte entrées, ranging from $5.95-19.95. Pair your feast with one of their specialty brews, such as Young’s Double Chocolate Stout or a Chocolate Berry Truffle Martini.
And Bistango Restaurant in Irvine has a three-course prix-fixe menu sure to dazzle your taste buds. The evening costs $48 per person and includes appetizers such as the Shrimp Cocktail with garlic croutons, or a Sweet Garlic Soup with chives and whipped cream; for the main course, featured plates are the Fettuccine served with marinated filet mignon, shiitake mushrooms, fennel, red onions and tarragon mushroom sauce, or the Grilled Pacific Swordfish with lemon risotto, roasted pepper, olive tapenade, chervil and a white balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It all kicks off at 5 p.m.
Celebrate Valentine’s all day long at Zov’s Bistro in Tustin. A three-course champagne brunch will be offered for $29.95 a person from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dinner a la carte will take place from 5 p.m.-10 p.m., with entrées ranging from Mediterranean Chicken ($24.95) to Prime Beef Tenderloin ($37.95).
Bluewater Grill in Tustin and Newport Beach is hosting a Foods of Love: Oysters and Champagne special throughout the month of February. The promotion kicks off on Feb. 10 with a pairing that features raw oysters on the half shell from British Columbia and Washington state with Schramsberg Champagne. Each pairing costs $29.95 per person, and reservations are required for seatings, which start at 6:30 p.m. An oyster and champagne sampling plate will be available for $19.75 through Feb. 28. Bluewater Grill is at 630 Lido Park Drive in Newport Beach and 2409 Park Ave. in Tustin.

Wildfish Seafood Grille in Newport Beach is introducing two romantic cocktails during the week of Valentine's Day. The Chocolate Valentini features Three Olives Vanilla Vodka with Chambord, Kahlua, whipped cream and chocolate flakes, and the Rose Flirtini contains Grey Goose Le Citron, lemon juice and Monin Rose Syrup with a sugared rim. It all takes place from Feb. 9-15 at 1370 Bison Ave.
And for another great seafood restaurant, try Scott's Seafood
in Costa Mesa. The restaurant's Valentine's Day prixe-fixe menu features three courses from
Executive Chef Michael Doctulero, as well as a la carte platings. For
the first course, guests can order the Maine Lobster Bisque, Sautéed Calamari, Asian Pear
Salad or Roasted Beet Salad. Main courses include the Chilean Seabass
Kasuzuke, 8-ounce lobster tail or an 8-ounce filet mignon. Dining hours
run from 4 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
The Clubhouse at South Coast Plaza is presenting a four-course meal for two for $95. It begins with a choice of two soups, two salads, two entrées and a a key lime tart or crème brulée for dessert. The restaurant's dining room hours are from 4 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Five Crowns in Corona del Mar is holding a four-day Valentine's celebration from Thursday, Feb. 12 to Sunday, Feb. 15, with a three-course prix-fixe menu for $99 per couple. The celebration includes a glass of champagne or wine per person as well as a chocolate rose. The meal contains such treats as a Sherry-laced Lobster Bisque; Poached Sole Allende; Roasted Long Island Duckling on Granny Smith Apple; and, of course, the Kama Deva's Mousse of Chocolate for dessert. Five Crowns is located at 3801 E. Pacific Coast Hwy.
If you're really looking to spice up your evening, head on over to Z'Tejas at South Coast Plaza. The restaurant has a festive Valentine's Day planned: Dinner for the evening is $24.99 and includes a three-course menu, which begins with a choice of appetizer, as well as main dishes such as the Pecan-crusted chicken Oscar, Chili Seared Scallops or Pistachio-crusted Beef Tenderloin.
Never one to skimp, Salt Creek Grille in Dana Point is hosting a Valentine's Day Weekend complete with brunch, a weekend lunch and dinner. On Friday, the restaurant will present its a la carte menu with mesquite-grilled steaks, burgers and fish, along with chicken dishes, pasta, salads and sides. Saturday – the big day – will bring such delicatessens as the Macadamia Nut Prawns, an a la carte menu featuring Carmelized Jumbo Scallops and other poultry, seafood and meat items, as well as a smattering of dessert options. Finally, Sunday brunch will be accompanied by a live jazz band. Guests who attend the restaurant's weekend will receive a $20 reward card for every $50 gift card purchase.
