The RA Sushi in Tustin is hosting a sushi-rolling contest with Anaheim Ducks
players James Wisniewski, Saku Koivu, Scott Niedermayer and Mike Brown
to benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation. The event is Monday at RA
Sushi at the District at Tustin Legacy in Tustin from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
The
four players have created and named their original sushi roll recipes
in hopes to have their roll featured on RA Sushi’s menu in four
locations (Tustin, Huntington Beach, Chino Hills and Corona) for one
month!
Each player will team with designated RA sushi chefs to
make rolls that will be sampled by guests and a panel of judges. The
winner will be selected based on the most creative name, ingredients,
presentation and taste. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the
winning roll generated during Oct. 9 – Nov. 6 will benefit the Anaheim
Ducks Foundation.
RA Sushi will be offering a complimentary taste of each player’s
created roll along with flavored sake through the duration of the
event. The player’s specialty rolls will also be available for
purchase.
The roll with the highest sales that evening will be
known as the “player fan roll” and will count for one point during the
competition. Guests are encouraged to arrive early at 7:30pm to help
promote their favorite roll and get a taste of the Anaheim Ducks in the
RA.
