21 Oceanfront Wine Dinner
Silver Oak and Twomey wines will be paired with a special four-course meal.

Four specially prepared courses will accompany wines from two Napa Valley cellars, Silver Oak and Twomey, during a special 21 Oceanfront wine dinner on Sept. 24.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a Champagne reception and hors d’oeuvres masterfully created by Chef Umberto Rubelli.

Wines will include Twomey Merlot and Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon vintages, which will be paired with such culinary creations as Porcini Mushroom Risotto with Blue Cheese Cream Sauce, Black Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna, and Petit Filet Mignon topped with Veal Demi Glaze.

The cost for the evening is $175 per person ($225 inclusive). Seating is limited, and reservations are required (call 949.673.2100). Business-casual attire is recommended.

The upscale restaurant is known for its classic continental cuisine, fresh seafood and prime steaks, and for its own cellar of fine wines from France, Italy, California and other regions around the world. And, as its name suggests, it also offers one of the best views of the Orange County coastline. It’s perched along the boardwalk next to the Newport Beach pier.

Live entertainment is featured nightly (the restaurant is open seven days a week). The lounge opens at 4 p.m., and dinner is served 5 p.m.  21oceanfront.com
