Courtesy of Fotolia Mira Selbo and Dana Robertson, the mother-daughter duo who came on the culinary scene with The Melting Pot in Irvine eight years ago, are moving forward with a new dining experience in San Clemente: The Next Door.
Slated to open later this month, the bar and kitchen will offer an extensive selection of California-style comfort foods – such as a Bacon Sirloin Burger, Skillet Mac n’ Cheese and Avocado Brie Bruschetta – and domestic or imported draft beers, and 20 red and white wines, among other selections. Prices will range between $4 and $18.50.
“With our new concept, The Next Door, Dana and I can explore a fun menu that we look for and appreciate when we dine out,” said Selbo. “We wanted it to be at a price point our guests can enjoy at daily for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.”
The eatery will boast a pub-style design, complete with doors, knobs, knockers and key accents. The bar will feature four flat-screen TVs and an enclosed cocktail patio, and the 2,000-square-foot restaurant will offer al fresco dining on its 20-seat patio.
